Abstract

A Cu(II)-Phenanthroline connected Strandberg-type polyoxometalate based MOF, Cu3Mo5P2, has been reported. Cu3Mo5P2 contains one dimensional parallel water channels and shows reversible phase transformation (with distinct color change) upon evacuation and resolvation of guest water molecules. It also shows proton conduction at room temperature as well as elevated temperature due to presence of 1D water channel.
